मुक्तपीठ टीम
देशात जलवाहतुकीला प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी, राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग कायदा, २०१६ अंतर्गत २४ राज्यांमधील १११ जलमार्गांना राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग म्हणून घोषित करण्यात आले आहे. या जलमार्गांच्या तांत्रिक-आर्थिक व्यवहार्यता आणि विस्तृत प्रकल्प अहवालाच्या निष्कर्षांच्या आधारे यापैकी २६ राष्ट्रीय जलमार्गांसाठी साठी भारतीय अन्तर्देशीय जलमार्ग प्राधिकरणाने कृती आराखडा तयार केला आहे जो मालवाहू/प्रवासी वाहतुकीसाठी व्यवहार्य आढळला आहे (तपशील परिशिष्ट-1 मध्ये). यामध्ये महाराष्ट्रातील अंबा नदी (राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग क्रमांक १०), दाभोळ खाडी वसिष्ठी नदी( जलमार्ग क्रमांक २८) आणि महाराष्ट्र आणि गुजरातला जोडणाऱ्या नर्मदा नदी (जलमार्ग क्रमांक ७३) आणि तापी नदी(जलमार्ग क्रमांक १००) यांचा समावेश आहे. २६ व्यवहार्य जलमार्गांपैकी पहिल्या १३ जलमार्गांसाठी विकास कामे सुरु करण्यात आली आहेत.
याशिवाय, सिक्कीमसह ईशान्य राज्यांमध्ये अंतर्देशीय जलमार्गांच्या विकासासाठी केंद्रीय क्षेत्र योजना नावाची योजना आहे, ज्यामध्ये ईशान्येकडील राज्यांना १००% आर्थिक सहाय्य दिले जाते. राष्ट्रीय जलमार्गांच्या विकासासाठी मंजूर निधीचा तपशील परिशिष्ट-२ मध्ये दिला आहे. भारतीय अन्तर्देशीय जलमार्ग प्राधिकरणाने राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग -1 (हल्दिया ते वाराणसी – १३९०किमीच्या क्षमता वाढीसाठी जलमार्ग विकास प्रकल्प हाती घेतला असून जागतिक बँक तांत्रिक आणि आर्थिक सहाय्य पुरवत आहे. ४६३३.८४ कोटी रुपयांच्या सुधारित अंदाजित खर्चाने १५००- २००० डेड वेट टनेज पर्यंतच्या जहाजांसाठी वर्षातील किमान ३३० दिवस २.२ ते ३.० मीटरची किमान उपलब्ध खोली आणि तळाशी ४५ मीटर रुंदी उपलब्ध करून दिली जाणार आहे. राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग -१ आणि इतर जलमार्गांच्या क्षमता वाढीसाठी उचललेली पावले/कामाचा तपशील परिशिष्ट-3 मध्ये दिला आहे.
केंद्रीय बंदरे, नौवहन आणि जलमार्ग मंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल यांनी राज्यसभेत एका लेखी उत्तरात ही माहिती दिली.
